I was thinking of Sheila when I did this, she posted my blog has having an animal depiction but it was Vern's beautiful portrait of my Grace she referred too so I decided I needed to draw one of my pet. This is Miss Kitty she is very sweet and gets along very nicely with Grace her dog. It was a good excuse I've been wanting to draw her for a while now.

oh my.... and she is lovely! Wonderful. I think your sketch is a stand out because of your mastery of the placement on ink on paper. Wonderful Dominique Wonderful!
Thank you Sheila.
I love tha fact that you are using mixed media in a lovely way and it works! Great catch with the eyes too- Centre of interest!
I feel like I could reach out and rub her fur. She's so pretty and lifelike, Dominique!
P.S. Thanks for dropping by my blog :)
Angelina, thank you for stopping by and the nice comment. DSFDF is so good the push you to grow in art, so keep participating.
Adebanji, your comment are relished thank you. Yes I am discovering that it's OK to do mixed media.
Oh I love the kitty and I love mixed media, I hate boxes.
Thanks desiree, don't like boxes either, you do so well out of it.
Dominique, WOW! You are really finding your groove lately, madam! I am VERY impressed with all these pen and ink / mixed media pieces you've been doing lately. SUper! And they have a very Dominique-ish quality of finesse to them (as in the floral touches near the cat) that is delicate and reminds me of those slippers you did. I can tell you lived up high on Park Avenue and parades happened every year just for you! (that was a great story) Kudos, missie on this new head of steam you've got.
Camille Thank you so much , I really appreciate you stopping by. Like to hear I might have a Dominique-ish style. If only I could paint like most on DSFDF.
No! You don't want to paint "like everybody else," that's boring... you're meant to paint like Dominique and whatever that ends up being is what will set you apart. Let it keep flowing, it's all coming together for you, I see that happening and it makes me smile. There's a very French feeling to your stuff lately and it's COOL!
Thank you Camille, I guess I compare myself too much sometimes. I really appreciate your comments they are at the right time too.
Blessing & hugs

Ohmygoodness. I haven't been by for a few days, and look what I missed. Dominique...this is great. Really great. You are masterful with the pen...and a little smack of color makes this stunning. I see from the comments above, that your work may inspire others to revisit or try pen and ink...I think I'll be among them. What ink/pen tool are you using...Rapidograph? Marvelous!!!!
