Practice, practice !

I'm posting a practice I did a very long time ago. When I first looked at this still life I though
 I DO NOT WANT TO DRAW THIS !
But by doing it anyway it gave me the confidence to think I could tackle anything with patience and determination.
So my suggestion to anyone out there wanting to improve.
Make your subject or still life difficult sometimes. It might not be the best piece you do but it will show you what not to do or what area to improve and that can be very valuable.

My daughter has a good friend who just got married these are from pictures I took of her.
The background is the color of her bridesmaids dresses.

This is an older piece I did of a series on flowers. I just love simple flowers.

                                 I was thinking of Sheila when I did this, she posted my blog has having an animal depiction but it was Vern's beautiful portrait of my Grace  she referred too so I decided I needed to draw one of my pet. This is Miss Kitty she is very sweet and gets along very nicely with Grace her dog. It was a good excuse I've been wanting to draw her for a while now.
