I'm posting a practice I did a very long time ago. When I first looked at this still life I though
I DO NOT WANT TO DRAW THIS !
But by doing it anyway it gave me the confidence to think I could tackle anything with patience and determination.
So my suggestion to anyone out there wanting to improve.
Make your subject or still life difficult sometimes. It might not be the best piece you do but it will show you what not to do or what area to improve and that can be very valuable.

Nicely done. I know that feeling you speak of. But you rose to the challenge and I'll bet you surprised yourself.
This is a lovely little still life, Dominique. Those reflections of the glass bottle in the shadowbox glass are phenomenal. Very well done here!

Yes these can be a challenge to do but the feeling you get ounce done is great.
