San Diego SketchCrawlers

These are sketches of Batik prints blocks from the Mingei Museum done with the San Diego Sketchcrawlers. Go to Dancing Strokes to check out the other sketch I did at that time too. We had fun sharing our work and eating lunch together afterwards.
I added the colors later since we were not allowed watercolors in the museum.

The local San Diego Sketchcrawl group met this Sunday at the Rancho Bernardo Winery which is  a treasure trove of subject to draw and paint from. It was such a nice time with everyone. We were under an overhang that gave out music which was Josh Groban playing . It can't get any better than that.

Little sketch and afternoon walk with Grace

This beautiful Egrette ( not sure) was at our favorite spot here in San Diego. While Grace was jumping in the water I did a little sketch  of San Diego in the distance. This view is from Fiesta Island.

21st World Wide SketchCrawl 2009

                                                                   www.sketchcrawl.com

This was my first Sketch Crawl, I got the information on Carol Feldman 's blog and wondered if there might be someone doing it here in San Diego.
I found the chapter on facebook and met with 14 other artist in Old Town San Diego at Bazar Del Mundo to sketch and then we had a lovely lunch at Guadalajara Restaurant next door. The food and the company was so good. At the end of our lunch we passed down each of our sketchbook and all OOh and AAh over each one. They were all very lovely. There's some talented people out there.
I now found a whole new bunch of neat people to sketch around my town with.
