" MY LIFE "

Detail of the boots                                                 13 x 4.5     Acrylic

This weeks challenge for " different strokes from different folks " blog of Karin  Jurick .
She posted a picture of her boots but I felt I needed to add more to this challenge and wanted to portray the look of our shoes during our life. Obviously there are more representation possible but I decided to stop there.
I had lots of fun doing this. I hope you check all the other entries also.
I don't know if I will post anything more before Christmas because life is getting busy.
So I wish everyone a most beautiful and blessed Christmas, may you all receive the greatest gift of all.  Christ our Lord.

Hi Dominique,
It was fun being "tagged", thank you. I really like your triptych - great idea. I'll be sending Karin my boot painting tomorrow. Got a bad cold right after we got back so I've not been painting much.

Thanks for stopping by and making nice comments on my boots! It IS fun meeting other artists through these challenges.

I love the idea you had on this challenge. The multiple shoe images are very interesting and tell a great story for the viewer to participate in. Your watercolors are bold and vibrant and your images have lots of character with YOU speaking through them. That is success!!

This one is very special. I love the idea. Very creative.
I miss my paintings we are on vacation over seas.
Happy holidays!

Dominique, I agree with Marilyn about the viewer getting to participate in this triptych, we women especially can relate in so many ways to all the "me's" these represent. Speaking of being able to do children's illustrations, I see the same talent for you specifically in those blue slippers; I feel like I've seen those in a cool Cinderella book or movie somewhere. Very mannered and elegant. Love it all!

These are gorgeous, and so descriptive of a woman's life... can see you had fun with it. I love all the textures and colours. A wonderful Christmas to you and yours too.

Edward, sorry to hear about your cold I hope you get better quickly. Can't wait to see your boot.

Marilyn, Thank you for the nice comments and yes it's so much fun getting to know other artist on a same project.

Irit, Thanks for the comment and on your vacation . Can't wait to hear about it on your blog with new paintings.

Camille, I guess we will have to do some children's books someday. About the blue shoes, I always wanted a fancy pair like that so the next best thing is to paint them. Thanks for stopping by.

Dominique, I remember a couple months ago you writing a comment that you didn't think you were creative. Well I hope you don't feel that way any more. You went beyond the assignment! I want those pink "slippahs". Karin has given us extra time, so be sure to send her a photo if you haven't already. Merry Christmas and Blessings to you and your home Dominique. You have made DSFDF very enjoyable for me ; )
Thank you.

Thank you for the kind comment. I can say that DSFDF has been a wonderful adventure for me which have included many new art friends which you are part of.
Have a wonderful Christmas to you and your family.

Beautiful job on all three pairs of "boots" Dominique. Each has it's own unique feel, from elegant to just plain comfortable. Very creative and I love it. Best wishes to you and your family for a happy Christmas.

Are you participating in this week's portrait challenge?

Your view of life in shoes is fantastic. I don't believe I saw all 3 of these at DSFDF, only the boots. Thank you for your generously kind posting at my blog, you made my day. God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas and New Year season.

Thanks Victoria, It's kind of interesting that your piece is pink and blue and mine too outside of the boots.
Hope you sent a picture for the new challenge.

Yes, Dominique I sent in a photo for the new challenge. I received my exchange photo a couple of hours ago and I am musing as to how I will express it. This is going to be so cool seeing everyone's rendition of each other.

I'm with you about being a bit nervous. I've received my picture already and she's a beautiful brunette lady.
Wonder who she is ?
Alice Thompson has already done hers and it is incredible. Go check it out.
