This is my submission for the challenge of Karin Jurick site different strokes from different folks. I had a hard time adjusting the colors on my computer, it's still not perfectly accurate with the colors, because if you change something the whole thing changes. This is what makes the challenges so great you're practicing in all areas.

Nice job Dominique. You got to work fast after your trip. I too had problems with capturing the true colours...blues and purples seem to be the big problems for me.
Hey Vern , Thanks . Yes my picture is a bit more aqua/green overhaul but that will do for now.
Beautiful painting, You really captured the reflections on wet sand and the feel of the waves and turf! Great Painting!
Adebanji,
It's so interesting how one changes when we try through our fears. I know a year ago I would not have done something like this. Painting is still a struggle for me but seeing Claude Monet's work in Paris gave me more courage and being part of DSFDF.
Thank you, give a hug to Ruth.
This is a great job. The colors are amazing an dthe reflections are superb.
Love it!
Thanks Irit, I'm trying to shed my fears !
Great job, Dominique. I love the beautiful range of colors in it. Well done!
Thank you Edward. You always make people smile !
Oh! The pinks and blues! And the greens and the purples! So much more inviting than the original photo!
p.s., Thanks for your kind comments on my rant; and I just remembered: the misspeller is the same one I had the bad dream about! Go figure!)
Just love the showy sky and beautiful surf! Beautiful entry :D
This is a fantastic painting. I love the colors.

Wow Dominique! Looks like the London trip re-energized your creative mojo. Maybe you can take the next trip as a tax deduction. Now I have to start on my challenge submission.... Argh.
Peggy, Thanks for your comment I appreciate it too.
Thanks Sheila , I will have to think about that tax deduction, good idea ! I'm looking forward to yours.
Oh my, when in the world did you have time to paint? Your painting is beautiful and I happen to like the colors just as they are. Well done!
Yes, the beast is the real thing! Go back and click on it to see it up close. WIth those very long and sharp horns, he kept turning his head aiming them at me. The rancher just told me to push his horns out of the way, easier said than done.
Thanks Angela for your comment on my picture.
I don't know if I would of had the courage to sit on that animal ,wow pretty impressive.
WOW! I absolutely love your rendition! The waves and reflections are so detailed, and the figures are just suggestive - how'd you do that? Excellent!

Maria, thank you for your comment
I love the colors in your painting. If you want the ability to adjust colors according to hue, download the free version of photoshop called GIMP. I love it and it's not that difficult to learn. There's several tutorials on www.EmptyEasel.com.
Thanks Carol, That's so nice I appreciate this.
I love the colors in your painting! The pinks in the sky and sand! and The blues and greens in the water/sand. Absolutely gorgeous!

So it sounds like you had a great trip. I like your plage painting a lot, what you have to do next is quadrupe the size
What a great surprise to read your note Pierre. Yes your right a bigger piece would be good. Maybe I'll do that and yes I had a good time on the trip.
Love the reflections and all the colors. Your paintings always have lots of energy. Sounds like a great trip, too!
Super energetic painting - I especially love the rose-kissed clouds. I am also struggling with photography a bit - getting out the glare - so at least I am not alone. See you again on DSFDF.
