OUR DEARLY DEPARTED !

6 x 4 Pastel

Well I have to announce that we have a valiant sacrifice made on behalf of our survival for which we are very thankful and appreciate all minute morsels.
So here is the portrait I did today in memory of the blessing that was bestowed to us.
I hope many such sacrifices where made in your households for which I say
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Yes, we are very thankful for the humble turkey. Although they are a bit lacking in the good looks department, they look mighty fine when cooked up in the oven on Thanksgiving, and taste even better!
Love this, Dominique!!!

Looking at that face I don't know that I could have eaten him! What a fantastic turkey portrait.

Beautiful detail of this poor fellow's face, Dominique! Somehow I almost always manage to shove the fact that these magnificent birds were once strutting their stuff amongst us. Easier to believe that they just show up at the store packaged and ready to go. The colors in his face are beautifully done as well!

Great painting, Dominique! I can't believe how few colors you've used and what a great result you got!

Very nice, Dominique. This turkey painting sure isn't a turkey. And...I don't know about this one, but mine was delicious.

The dearly departed looks fine in the drawing! What a fine tribute to Benjamin Franklin's choice for the national bird!

JAmes, it was yummy !

Dean, I ate his cousin ! I like it too that it was the choice between the Indian and Settlers.
