I SEE YOU

                                                  16  x  22      Graphite

This was one of my exams back in the days ( a long time ago)   but I always enjoyed looking at it because it was the start of seeing the possibilities of what could be done with pencils.
I love owls.
I suggest you go to your Natural Museum or other places and draw the stuffed animals there. Especially the birds they have such wonderful textures and it's so much fun to do and try and create the same effect.

So perfect, Dominique. One of my favorite assignments from a drawing class many years ago was to have to do a golf ball. He wanted shapes and shadows...in the appropriate divots. It was so fun to do that I am still mindful of it!

Beautifully done! Definitely a subject I've never tackled. What an excellent idea to paint from the natural museum. Makes me wish even more I were back in California where all those lovely museums are close enough. Plus that sort of cancels my excuse for not being able to explore nature successfully!

Hi Dominique! I love your owl. Very cute, but those claws are deadly!
