" EACH OTHER "

                                                      "  RACHEL "

                                            11 x 14   Acrylic

This is the finished portrait of this weeks  challenge of Karin Jurick's blog "different strokes from different folks "
I hope Rachel likes it I found who she was in the last challenge of the boots. It was nice painting someone so beautiful but I turned her into a blonde.

Congratulations Dominique! I don't know who I painted, you've done a fine detective work :) Your approach to her hair is very expressive but the eyes are my favorite, they are so alive! Happy New Year to you!!!! xox

Dominique, tres bien, this painting has a quiet and warm beauty to it and shows compassion in her eyes. You have done an excellent job here.

Very good job, Dominique! It reminds me of Sandro Botticelli's The Birth of Venus. Nice job.

Big WOW to this one.
Mine was too hard for me. Maybe the jet lag?

dominique eichi said...

Thanks Irit, I know how jet lag make you feel terrible, hope you get over it quickly.

Thanks for visiting my site...the song is by alanis morissette on a cd called prayer circle. It is spine tingling isn't it? When I was creating my website, and i linked the song on it and saw my beloved beagles face come up on my home page, i just sat and cried!! I do miss him, but its nice to have his portraits throughout the site to remember him...that song just makes it that much better!! See you soon!!

Great portrait, Dominique! I'm looking forward to finding out who I painted... it's neat that you already know yours. Who knows, she may go have highlights put in now that she sees them!

Thanks Pat, I hope to be as creative as you one day.
