faux " Marble "

I was tired of seeing my last post but I haven't done anything new so I thought I would post something I did a while ago.
This is a door and frame which got painted and coated to make it look like marble for a company selling marble !
I had lost of fun doing this because I could choose to copy any of the marbles that were around me but this one had elegance to it, in my opinion. So I decided to do this for my door.
The name that we partially see is their company but they moved sadly.

Marvelous, Dominique! You really captured the feel of fine marble. Have you done a lot of faux finish?

I take it is was painted over after they moved, what a pity. I've had it happen to me, too.

Wonderful, Dominique! I used to paint faux marble, and do faux finishing after I left the corporate world to make extra money. This is great! They must have been super happy with it.

Liz, they were but their business moved. Oh well.

THanks, Adebanji. I'm realizing how valuable this background of faux-finish has given me.

Fun piece, Dominique!

It's amusing to me that a marble business would use the faux finish.

Diana,

Your right I have pictures on my website dominiqueeichi dot com that show the overhaul warehouse. They just let me do whatever I wanted to improve their place, which included copying their supplies. It was fun.
