UP & DOWN WE GO !

8 x 10 Acrylic

Here is the latest one for the Different strokes From Different Folks challenge. I started today and due today ! Ewff.......
I tried being a bit more loose and did not pre-draw this one on purpose but just started painting. This one was a little bit of a struggle but kept telling myself it's the feeling I want to get not the accuracy. It seems I was drawn to the cool one side and warm the other.
All are very good go check them out.
I wonder what's next.......... :D

Great piece and lovely colour harmony!

Seems like we were on the same wave length on this one. I also started and finished today and was going more for the feeling than an exact replication. Nevertheless I love how ours are both so different from each other. Love yours by the way!

What a joyfull cityscape :)
I hadn't realized about the cool-warm separation that you mention until I read it. I guess it's true, but the whole painting is lovely...
Best regards,
Carolina

Dominique, it is really a very hot day :-). I like the painting very much. It is very special, very individual, the separation of left hot and right cool colors is surprising but very harmonic.
And thank you for the comment in my blog.

Hi Dominique - I like your idea of just starting in painting rather than drawing. That's very brave, especially on such a complicated scene. Great job! And very vivid colors! Thanks for visiting my blog too-I just learned about the different strokes blog and it's so interesting to see all the different painting styles and impressions.
