"The Victorian house"




                                                6 x 6     pen & ink , watercolor

THis is the latest challenge for Karin Jurick . These exercises are so good  that's all I can say.

Dominique you've done it again! Your line is just gorgeous and I love your restrained use of color. It's very effective, and also looks very architecturally sound.

Also fun to see how different your approach is from the last DSFDF (I always start out trying to do something different but it all comes out looking the same).

Can't wait to see your next one, already!

Dominique, this is a home run. I looked at it up close and the frenzied scratchiness of your pen is sooooo wonderful and exciting, it looks like you went at it with adrenaline pulsing through you and it gives the image such great victorian character. SO NICE!! And love the watercolor with it and the undersides of the clouds in pen and ink. COOL.

Your ink drawing has a lot of energy in the lines - the way you handled the clouds and foliage. I like the added color, especially the yellow in the windows.
