This is great. It looks peaceful. The use of the blues and line work shows so much atmosphere. Lovely.
Yay Dominique! I love the light, bright look you gave this. Makes NYC look very inviting.
Hey Dominique: thanks for visiting my blog. I love your NY scene. Very cool effect you got with the frisket. I enlarged it so I could see the detail. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who waited until the last day. So you lived there for 12 years and ended up in San Diego? You've seen it all!
Hi Dominique! This was a fun project, my first time participating. All the red stop lights, made me think to call it All Stop. And that of course took me right to star trek! Your interpretation is very nice too! I love water colors, but have not had the courage to try them yet. I can't wait to see what Karin comes up with next for the Different Strokes challenge! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Be well, Tj.
Pat, thank you
Sheila, it was a fun experiment.
Ann, Thanks for stopping by, yes and a few more places too.
TJ Lev, THanks for stopping by I will forward to your next submission.
Hi Dominique. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such nice comments. I paint with oils and had to look up the definition of FRISKET. Just as TJ Lev 'fessed up, I haven't the courage to do water colors. Don't know why - just don't. Especially seeing what REAL water colorists do!!! :-)
Regards,
Ken B.
Hey Ken,
I can't say I can call myself a watercolorist. I think it's a lot harder that Oils or Acrylics. But these challenges are good to try new techniques , It's fun even if you flop. Thanks for coming by.
Fantastic, Dominique. Can't believe you tackles this in w/c. My hat's off to you! It's lovely.
Liz, Thanks, actually because I did this almost like Batik. It was kind of fun but did not know the final result so it's a bit different when your somewhat blindfolded. Regular watercolors are so much harder.
I love the washed out effect of the buildings, and the contrast of that shade of blue and the yellows of the taxis!
P.S. Frisket sounds just like brisquet, so I'm hungry, again:)
Very nice, Dominique!
Dominique, thanks for commenting on my artwork with different strokes from different folkes. I was excited to see that someone noticed my work. I look forward to seeing more of your works. Andrea Pope

I, too, had to look up frisket - seems like a neat thing to try. Thanks for a little art education and for stopping by my blog!
EPTAS, THanks it was more of a fun thing and experiment with frisket Oh excuse me brisket.......
Edward, Thanks
Andrea, Your welcome I will keep checking on you, thanks for stopping by.
Souvereign Grace Art,
Thanks for coming by, try the frisket it's doing work like Batik.
Dominique, thanks for your comment on my blog. I really enjoyed this DSDF challenge, getting the perspective right was a challenge for me. I admire your courage to use watercolors; I find they are just not as forgiving as acrylics. Great Job!
Hi Dominique...there's alot of movement to this piece, which works really well considering it's traffic! Thanks for stopping by my blog on a regular basis!
Cathie, Thanks for coming by DSFDF is such a fun way to get motivated. I will look for you in the next one.
Annelein, Your work is always a pleasure to look at thanks for stopping by.
very nice work. You capture the perspective and the feel of the tall buildings - and the way a hot summer day in NYC affects the senses/vision
Philip, I appreciate your comment , thank you . I did enjoy doing this piece and especially since i've lived there and my family had a business pretty close to this spot. Come back any time !
I love the simplicity and control you have with your palette. I get how hard that can be. You did a great job.
Katie, Thank you I appreciate the comment.
Dominique, as usual , your work is fresh and joyful!
And thank you for your comment on my blog.
Sylviane, your very kind thank you . I appreciate you stopping by.
